The next Atlanta Lions Club luncheon will be held at noon at the Downtown Capital City Club on Thursday, July 23rd. Our guest speakers will be Lion’s 18-L District Governor, Fred Carlson and Julious George from the Young Generation Movement.
Having just taken over as District Governor and fresh back from the 2015 Lions International Convention in Hawaii, Fred will be sharing with us his vision for the year and news of Lionism. Fred will also be inducting our newest member, Shondeana Crews-Morris. Shondeana is presently Deputy District Attorney in Fulton County and later this month will be sworn in by Governor Nathan Deal as an Associate Judge of the State Court of DeKalb County .
Julious George will also share the podium and discuss his non-profit organization that focuses on kids-at-risk in the Westside neighborhoods. The Young Generation Movement seeks out and supports youth aged 12-21 years old from communities, plagued by violence, challenged by urban lifestyles, and engages them in structured community and educational programs.
Please contact Secretary, Cheryl Lee if you would like to attend this upcoming luncheon.
