Atlanta Lions Club member Cyd McDowell has been travelling this week in Belize with KidSight USA representatives to establish a child vision screening program in this Central American country.  The program is part of the Belize Lions Clubs efforts to provide young Belizeans with free eye screening.  The screenings will commence countrywide in September at the beginning of their school year.  The Belize Lions Clubs are committed to pay for eye glasses for children who need them, and whose parents cannot afford to pay for the treatment services.

Below is footage from Belize TV Channel 7 discussing the vision screening program with remarks from Lion Cyd McDowell and Past International Director Dr. Ed Cordes.  Ed heads the Lions KidSight USA Program and is a Lion from Corning, New York.

Way to go Lion Cyd!
